You’ve known our work for years. They Eat Culture are an experienced studio of creatives, artists, thinkers, activists, commentators, researchers, community facilitators, technologists, makers & extraordinary people-next-door to present, commission & produce creatively diverse & artistically ambitious live, performative, built, digital & mixed reality projects of use & value, co-designed with communities.
You’ll know us for our arts & culture takeover of Preston’s Continental pub in 2008 which turned it into the hippest venue in the city with arts activity spilling out of its door, year-round. You’ll know we helped produce the Vintage Guild 2012, have taken over the Bus Station, Train Station, & Market on many occasions, turned the street into a 1715 performance battleground & local authority offices into sci-fi film squats. We work with national funder and commissioners everywhere. We make ambitious happenings on your doorstep, with you.
Our Big Lottery funded project Mobile Home sees us working in 5 areas across Preston between 2016&2019, where we’re working with communities to develop new environmental, architectural & cultural activity. The People’s Production Lab will tour around as part of Mobile Home and, like a snowball, get people making in all corners of Preston & South Ribble.
